Images are made from silver gelatin film exposed in medium format and large format cameras. The film is processed
by me and printed in my darkroom using a cold light head enlarger. The paper used in making these prints is called fiber base
and when the final print is made, it is given a bath in a selenium solution for durability and toning effect. Prints prepared
this way are referred to as “archival” and last for a very long time. Water color paper is used in the printing
of platinum and palladium images because it gives the finished print a much softer and deeper tone. The different look of
platinum/palladium prints is very desirable with some collectors.
