Most of the images in this gallery were made in Eastern North Carolina which is the place of my roots. I try to record historically significant images in order to, in some small way, save  things that are disappearing from the region. It is becoming more difficult to find the kind of images that were common place just a few years ago because they have been demolished or given way to progress in rural areas as well as urban areas.
